We're looking for an experienced Hydraulic Build-Up Specialist to join our Clayton workshop. If you take pride in precision workmanship and enjoy diagnosing, rebuilding and restoring critical hydraulic components to OEM standards, this is an opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment alongside a team that values quality, safety and continuous development.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, rebuild and repair Caterpillar hydraulic components and systems
- Assemble hydraulic components to OEM specifications using technical drawings and engineering standards
- Manufacture hydraulic hose assemblies and complete hose and coupling repairs, both in the workshop and on-site when required
- Test, inspect and commission hydraulic components using specialised diagnostic and testing equipment
- Complete service documentation, job reports and quotations accurately
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and contamination control in every task
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- A trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology or a related mechanical trade
- Proven experience rebuilding, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems
- The ability to confidently interpret hydraulic schematics, technical manuals and engineering drawings
- Experience using hydraulic diagnostic and testing equipment
- A collaborative approach with strong communication skills and a willingness to support teammates and apprentices
- Excellent time management and a commitment to completing work safely and to the highest standard
- Experience with Caterpillar systems including SIS, HIS or DBS will be highly regarded
