Position Summary
The Disability Support Worker provides person-centred support to NDIS participants, assisting with daily living activities and community participation to promote independence, wellbeing, and achievement of individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and other daily living activities.
- Support participants to access the community, attend appointments, social activities, education, and employment.
- Encourage independence, choice, and active participation in everyday life.
- Provide emotional support while maintaining participants' dignity, privacy, and rights.
- Complete accurate progress notes and report any changes in participant wellbeing.
- Follow organisational policies, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and safe work practices.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
Pay: $36.00 – $45.00 per hour
