Group Financial Controller
As Group Financial Controller , you'll take a seat at the leadership table and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a growing engineering and project delivery businesses. Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll lead the Group's financial strategy, performance and governance while acting as a trusted commercial partner across every part of the organisation.
This is far more than a traditional financial control position. Working closely with leaders across Operations, Projects, Commercial, Engineering, Recruitment, People & Culture and HSEQ, you'll influence the decisions that drive growth, profitability and operational excellence. From guiding tender pricing and project performance to supporting workforce planning, investment decisions and business improvement initiatives, your insights will directly impact how the business scales and succeeds.
With responsibility for the Group's financial health, risk management, reporting, compliance and funding strategy, you'll build the financial frameworks that support long-term growth while leading and developing a high-performing finance team. How you can support CoMade
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- Professional certification (CPA or CA) essential; postgraduate business qualifications (e.g. MBA) highly regarded
- Proven track record operating at executive level, owning financial strategy and performance for a group of businesses
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate financial analysis into pricing, contract and investment decisions
- Proficiency in financial forecasting and complex data analysis techniques to inform strategic planning and improve financial outcomes
- Proactive problem-solving ability to address financial and operational challenges, ensuring timely and effective solutions
- Strong decision-making skills to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement in financial operations
- Ability to identify, assess and mitigate financial risk, developing and enforcing comprehensive risk management policies
- Strong leadership ability to guide and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and developing future leaders
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial matters clearly to boards, banks and non-finance audiences
