About the role
We are seeking a Recruitment & HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional with at least 1 year of experience who is looking to further develop their skills across recruitment, mobilisation, HR administration, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
You will play a key role in supporting managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle, delivering efficient HR services while ensuring legislative and organisational compliance. Working closely with the broader HR team, you will contribute to recruitment activities, onboarding, workforce compliance, employee records management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do

Coordinate recruitment activities, from advertising and screening through to onboarding.
- Manage employee mobilisation requirements, including medicals, screening and compliance checks.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including appointments, employment changes, leave and separations.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR documentations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
- Monitor and maintain workforce compliance, including licences, qualifications, training, and employment documentation.
- Provide timely HR support and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment matters.
- Assist with employee relations activities, including performance management.
- Support compliance audits, HR reports and workforce planning initiatives.
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee movements and changes.
- Support and contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and organisational initiatives.
Selection Criteria

Minimum 1 year of experience in a HR Officer/Coordinator or similar role (essential)
- Demonstrated experience across recruitment, mobilisation, HR administration, and employee lifecycle management.
- Previous experience maintaining HR information systems; Employment Hero (highly regarded but not essential)
- Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, National Employment Standards (NES), and Fair Work requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills,
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement, and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Unrestricted Australian Work Rights
Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Employment Law or a related discipline (highly regarded but not essential).
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero or similar (highly regarded but not essential).
- Current valid Australian Driver's Licence
The successful candidate will need to complete a pre-employment medical and provide an updated National Police Clearance.
