The Opportunity
This is more than a leadership position, it's an opportunity to help shape the future direction of Financial Planning within a growing national advisory business. Initially, you'll establish and grow our Sydney Financial Planning presence while managing a portfolio of clients and leading by example. You will also focus on capability development and strategic growth of the Financial Planning function nationally. You'll be responsible for the performance, technical excellence, compliance, commercial growth and ongoing evolution of our Financial Planning division. Most importantly, you'll champion the philosophy that Financial Planning is not delivered in isolation. You'll work collaboratively with our leadership team to ensure every client receives holistic, integrated advice that is tailored to their goals, circumstances and long term aspirations.
What You'll Be Responsible For

Leading and developing our national Financial Planning team
- Building and expanding our Sydney Financial Planning presence
- Providing technical leadership across complex advice matters
- Maintaining the highest standards of advice quality, compliance and governance
- Overseeing Statements of Advice, advice frameworks and technical standards
- Coaching, mentoring and developing advisers and support staff
- Driving sustainable business growth and identifying new opportunities
- Working collaboratively across Accounting, Lending, Property and Legal to deliver integrated client strategies
- Championing innovation, technology and continuous improvement
- Building trusted, long-term client relationships centered on achieving meaningful outcomes
About You
You're an experienced Financial Planning professional who combines exceptional technical capability with proven leadership experience. You genuinely care about helping clients achieve what matters most to them and recognise that the best outcomes often come from collaboration across multiple areas of expertise. You're equally comfortable mentoring advisers, contributing to business strategy and working directly with clients.
Most importantly, you're excited by the opportunity to help build something bigger than a traditional Financial Planning practice.
What You'll Bring

Minimum 10 years' experience in Financial Planning or Wealth Advice
- All current required education and regulatory requirements satisfied
- Demonstrated experience mentoring Financial Advisers or Financial Planning teams
- Strong technical expertise across - Superannuation and SMSFs; Investments; Personal Insurance; Retirement Planning & Wealth Structuring
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance and advice quality
- Experience reviewing and overseeing Statements of Advice
- Commercial acumen with a passion for growing businesses and developing people
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine commitment to building lasting client relationships and delivering exceptional client outcomes
