Liverpool ICAMHS is seeking skilled Mental Health Professionals to join our multidisciplinary service supporting infants, children and young people (0–17 years) across the Liverpool and Fairfield communities. This position sits across both ICAMHS and Safeguards streams.
The ICAMHS/Safeguards team provides rapid mental health assessment and brief intervention to children and young people (0–17 years) experiencing acute mental health distress, and their support networks.Clinicians deliver timely, crisis-focused care, including comprehensive assessment, risk management and short-term intervention aimed at stabilisation, strengthening supports and facilitating access to ongoing care. The role also includes holding a small ICAMHS caseload for ongoing therapeutic intervention.
In this role you will manage a clinical caseload, contribute to recovery-oriented treatment planning, and participate in intake and multidisciplinary care.
This is a 7-day rotating roster position and includes participation in intake.
As a pool clinician, you’ll begin by supporting one of our teams to fill a current vacancy. As new opportunities arise across our mental health services, you may be offered the chance to transition to other teams—providing you with valuable experience and exposure across the diverse services within SWSLHD Community Mental Health. Future roles may become available at Ingleburn, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Ambarvale, Fairfield, and Wollondilly.
Are You the Right Fit?
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health, including assessment and intervention across a range of presentations
- Skills in evidence-based, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice (e.g. CBT, DBT, family work)
- Ability to provide both crisis response (Safeguards) and ongoing case management (ICAMHS)
- Strong clinical judgement, risk assessment and communication skills
- Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with families/carers
- Flexibility to contribute to intake processes and, for Safeguards roles, a 7-day rotating roster
- Commitment to clinical supervision, professional development and quality improvement
