What you'll be doing
Provide triage, assessment, intervention and response to meet the Mental Health needs of person in the community, the community sector and primary care partners when they encounter mental health problems.
To work collaboratively with other service providers/agencies to promote assertive and timely service delivery for clients in the provision of holistic evidence-based care in accordance to MNCLHD and Ministry of Health policies and directive.
About You
You present as a highly capable and professionally grounded clinician, defined by your strong registration credentials and your commitment to evidence‑based mental health practice. You bring the authority of recognised qualifications—whether through current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia, eligibility for AASW membership as a Social Worker, or a bachelor‑level qualification in counselling or a related mental health field. This foundation positions you as someone who operates with both professional integrity and a clear understanding of contemporary standards of care.
You demonstrate the ability to deliver specialist mental health services with confidence and clinical insight. Crisis assessment, care management, consultation and liaison work are areas in which you show both competence and composure, allowing you to support individuals with complex needs while also contributing meaningfully to broader service systems. Your practice reflects a deep understanding of recovery‑oriented principles, and you consistently approach consumers with respect, collaboration and a belief in their capacity for growth.
You work effectively within multidisciplinary environments, engaging constructively with colleagues, stakeholders and partner services. Your communication—written, verbal and interpersonal—supports clear information sharing and coordinated care. You manage your time and workload with professionalism, ensuring that your practice remains organised, responsive and aligned with service expectations.
Your clinical knowledge is complemented by strong assessment and intervention skills. You are adept at working with people experiencing complex mental health challenges, drawing on evidence‑based approaches to guide your decision‑making and therapeutic engagement. You bring a thoughtful, informed and person‑centred perspective to every interaction, making you a valuable contributor to any mental health service.
