About Nation Healthcare
Nation Healthcare is looking for a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Ayr, QLD.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting people with disability to live independently, participate in their community, and achieve their individual goals.
About the Role
This is a casual position offering approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours depending on participant needs and availability.
You will provide person-centred support to our participant/s and assist with day-to-day activities while promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred disability support
- Assist participants with daily living activities and personal routines
- Support participants to access the community and attend appointments or activities
- Provide companionship and social support
- Assist with household tasks where required
- Encourage independence and participation in meaningful activities
- Follow individual support plans and participant preferences
- Maintain professional boundaries and respect participant privacy and dignity
- Complete required support documentation and shift notes
- Communicate effectively with participants, families and the Nation Healthcare team
- Follow all relevant health, safety and NDIS requirements
About You

Essential Requirements
- Valid ABN – required
- Previous disability support or community care experience preferred
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
- Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services are highly regarded
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred
- Right to work in Australia
