THE ROLE
As a Facilities Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in ensuring our Scape Melbourne portfolio is safe, compliant and operating at its very best. Combining hands-on maintenance expertise with contractor management and people leadership, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of multiple assets while delivering an exceptional environment for our residents.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Managing programmed and reactive maintenance across the Scape Melbourne portfolio
- Leading preventative maintenance programs, building inspections and asset lifecycle planning
- Coordinating contractors, service providers and Facilities team members to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Overseeing building services including CCTV, access control, key management and essential services
- Managing facilities budgets, financial planning, maintenance records and asset registers
- Driving compliance with WHS, statutory and regulatory requirements across all properties
- Taking ownership of defect liability, warranty matters and capital maintenance projects
- Administering Facilities Management systems, including works, asset and contractor management platforms
- Building strong relationships with residents, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service
- Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing Facilities team
- Supporting the strategic direction of the Facilities function through continuous improvement and long-term planning
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a highly driven individual with the ability to make measured decisions in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Facilities Manager, with Technical Knowledge of hard services
- Experienced in facilities management, building maintenance or property operations
- Trade qualified (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Building or similar) or equivalent experience
- Confident managing contractors, maintenance programs and compliance requirements
- Customer-focused with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
- Knowledgeable in preventative maintenance, WHS and building compliance
- Comfortable leading teams and creating a positive, high-performing culture
