Youth Mental Health Support Worker - headspace Early Psychosis
Full Time Fixed-Term Contract to 30 June 2027
$80,000 - $86,000 per annum + Super + Salary Packaging

At Lives Lived Well, we help people live their lives well. As one of Australia's leading community-based health and wellbeing organisations, we support people experiencing challenges with mental health, alcohol and other drugs, gambling and wellbeing.
We're seeking a passionate Youth Mental Health Support Worker to join our headspace Early Psychosis team. Working alongside clinicians, you'll support young people to build practical life skills, achieve recovery goals, and increase their independence, confidence and connection to their community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide community-based psychosocial support to young people.
- Support young people to build life skills, confidence and independence.
- Assist young people to engage in education, training, employment and community activities.
- Conduct outreach support, including home visits and community-based appointments.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support recovery goals.
- Connect young people with services and community supports.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Promote youth participation and engagement in service activities and the local community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience working with young people in mental health, youth work, community services, disability, education, or a related field.
- A recovery-oriented and strengths-based approach to supporting young people.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.
- The ability to identify concerns and appropriately escalate risks.
- A commitment to child safety, cultural safety and inclusive practice.
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain
- Current National Police Check or ability to obtain
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Mental Health or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Working Hours
This role is generally worked between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility available within standard business hours.
