About the Role
The Head of People and Talent is a strategic P&C leader responsible for partnering with executive leaders to deliver transformational people outcomes that support icare's strategic vision and business objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role aligns people and talent strategies with organisational priorities, driving leadership capability, talent management, workforce planning, succession and mobility initiatives to build a high-performing workforce.
This role coaches and influences senior leaders to foster engagement, performance and accountability across their teams, while proactively managing people risk and overseeing complex people matters as required. As a significant leadership position within icare, it requires the ability to think strategically, plan for the future, and make decisions with a clear understanding of their long-term impact on the organisation, its people and business outcomes.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Head of People & Talent you will:
- Partner with the Group Executive and leadership team to shape and deliver a people strategy that drives business performance and organisational outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex people matters, providing strategic, commercial and data-driven workforce solutions.
- Lead large-scale organisational change, workforce planning and organisational design initiatives to support growth and transformation.
- Use workforce insights, people metrics and risk data to inform decision-making, strengthen capability and enhance employee experience.
- Build and execute talent, succession and retention strategies that develop leadership pipelines and enable workforce agility.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships across the business, influencing outcomes and driving collaboration to achieve shared goals.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, championing continuous improvement, innovation, learning and a culture of accountability and performance.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in providing executive assistance to a Senior Executive in a corporate or government environment
- Successful completion of relevant tertiary qualifications in administration or equivalent skills acquired through practical experience – highly regarded
- Advanced organisational and time management skills, with exceptional communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management – internal and external
- Take initiative, forward plan and be adaptive
- A passion for people and building strong networks
- Resilient, professional and curious personality
