About Mono Constructions
Mono Constructions is an Australian-owned construction company specialising in medium-density Class 2 residential apartment and commercial projects across Sydney.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Skilled Labourer to join our site team and support the delivery of our construction projects across Sydney.
Reporting to the Site Manager, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, follows direction and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, clean and well-organised construction site.
The Role
You will support the Site Manager, trades and wider project team by completing skilled labouring duties safely, efficiently and within allocated timeframes.
The position involves general site preparation, operating tools, assisting trades, maintaining site cleanliness and supporting defect rectification and project handover activities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Safely operating a range of hand and power tools.
- Cleaning and preparing construction sites, work areas and amenities.
- Removing rubble, debris and waste from site.
- Assisting trades with marking out, spotting, digging and cutting.
- Installing and maintaining handrails, ramps and barricades as required.
- Receiving, checking and safely storing site deliveries.
- Assisting with defect rectification and preparation for client handover.
- Reporting safety, quality and environmental concerns to the Site Manager.
- Completing allocated tasks safely and within required timeframes.
- Working cooperatively with the site team and keeping the Site Manager informed of progress or issues.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous skilled labouring experience on construction sites.
- A valid White Card.
- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Experience safely operating hand and power tools.
- A practical understanding of construction site activities.
- A strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices.
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
- The ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A trade background, First Aid certificate or traffic management qualification would be advantageous.
