What you'll be doing
The Transitional Living Unit Coordinator is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, leading the delivery of quality services in The Transitional Living Unit to patients/ clients of the SNSW Local Health District in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including high level computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation in line with hospital accreditation processes. And demonstrated commitment leading implementation of evidence based practice.
- Experience in providing Occupational Therapy services and complex case management to clients who have sustained a brain injury or related field, who are seeking to return to the community after long term injury or illness.
- Extensive knowledge of Occupational Therapy, clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively and lead a multidisciplinary team, taking leadership in clinical and operational decision making.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise Occupational Therapy caseloads across a small regional team. With a demonstrated experience coordinating staff in a health care setting.
- Demonstrated experience in participating in clinical research and knowledge of the research process, with a high level problem solving and project management skills.
Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
