Introduction:
ACEREZ is a consortium, comprised of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy which has been appointed Preferred Network Operator by EnergyCo to design, deliver, operate and maintain the transmission line network for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ).
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets. We are recruiting a HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our ACEREZ team, based in Sydney.

As a HRBP, you will provide pragmatic, risk aware HR advice and support to leaders, partnering closely with managers and supervisors to deliver consistent people focussed outcomes in a highly regulated and complex operating environment. This role provides hands-on ownership across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, engagement, payroll (managing external service partners), and employee relations, ensuring scalable, consistent, compliant, and effective HR practices aligned with business obligations and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will:
Act as a first point of contact and support for managers, supervisors and employees on HR matters
Coordinate the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
Maintain a practical performance rhythm and support leaders to run engagement actions
Manage employee relations issues including grievances, complaints, conflict resolution, and where necessary investigations
Maintain HR policies, HRIS records, templates and employee communications
Oversee, advise and manage all EBAs and Individual Employment Agreements
Process payroll accurately and maintain employee payroll records, whilst working effectively with Payroll Provider and Finance teams
Develop and maintain a practical people plan aligned to key business objectives, including workforce, capability, and culture
Skills and Experiences:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
(Essential) Min 10 years’ experience as a HRBP, ideally with site-based HR exposure for a major infrastructure, mining, utilities or energy project.
(Essential) Excellent knowledge of Fair Work Act, NES and applicable awards.
(Desirable) Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or Business, with training in relevant functional disciplines
