About the participant: A 58-year-old male seeking a compassionate and experienced support worker. He benefits from consistent routines, clear communication, and a calm, patient approach. At times, he may become verbally frustrated during periods of increased stress, particularly around changes to routine or financial matters. Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities and confidence in using positive behaviour support strategies is highly desirable.
We require someone:
- With a large build/strong physical presence is preferred to due nature of participant’s support needs - Male and Female applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Experience and/or training with complex behaviours (essential)
- Confident using positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Calm, patient, resilient and able to maintain professional boundaries.
- Able to follow BSPs and work collaboratively with a wider support team
- Experience and/or training with High Level needs
- Experience with extreme mental health needs
- Must be available for a face-to-face interview
MANDATORY: You must have CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health or CERT III in Ageing and Disability
Hours available:
11 hours per day - split into a 5-hour shift and 4-hour shift eg. 9am-3pm, 3pm-8pm.
Opportunity for hours to increase to 15/16 hours per day, potentially building to 24hours. Additional shifts, including sleepovers, may become available.

Pay: $35.40 – $55.38 per hour
