We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Hastings and Crib Point areas. You must be living in or close to the local area.
About Our Client
We are seeking a dedicated Female Disability Support Worker for a lovely and easy-going female client. She enjoys maintaining a clean and tidy home and loves having long, engaging conversations.
Your role will be to provide companionship and practical support, helping her maintain independence and participate in activities she enjoys.
The successful candidate must be a pet friendly, as the client has a friendly and playful bulldog who enjoys regular attention and affection.
The Role & Available Shifts
This is a shared role, working alongside other support workers as part of a rotating roster.
Current shifts available 7 days a week:
- Weekdays: 6-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Saturday: 3-hour shifts
- Sunday: 3-hour shifts
The role will be shared among support workers on a weekly roster basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a genuine connection through active listening and meaningful conversations.
- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning (using safe cleaning products for bathrooms, showers, toilets, and general household areas).
- Assist with light gardening duties.
- Support community access, including driving the client to local clubs, appointments, and venues.
- Accompany the client on longer trips and visits to places of interest.
- Assist with household tasks as required.
- Provide friendly and caring support to the client’s bulldog.
Essential Requirements
- Must be a Female Disability Support Worker (this is a genuine occupational requirement for this specific client).
- Fluent English skills with clear and professional communication.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check (if required).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and professional attitude.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent qualifications (preferred).
