The Role
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Project Officer, Talent Initiatives supports the delivery of key workforce programs including Skills Solutions Partnerships, Digital Jobs and AI Career Conversion. Working within a collaborative and flexible team, you will contribute to program design, implementation and continuous improvement while providing project management and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. This role is suited to a highly organised and motivated professional with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills who enjoys working across policy and program delivery.
Main Accountabilities

Provide project management support to deliver programs, including program design, promotion, administration, reporting, budget, risk and issue management.

Prepare and review Ministerial briefings, media releases, correspondence, budgets, reports and other documentation for senior management.

Contribute to the identification, development and resolution of policy and program issues to improve program delivery.

Build and maintain effective partnerships with government, delivery partners and industry stakeholders through consultation and engagement.

Support strong program governance through effective project management practices.
The Team
The position of Project Officer, Talent Initiatives forms a part of the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment Group works with businesses in Victoria and globally to drive innovation, investment, trade and economic growth. The Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch delivers the Victorian Government's industry development agenda by supporting business growth, workforce inclusion, industry capability and skills development through policy and program delivery.
About You
You will bring experience in project management and teamwork, with the ability to support the planning, delivery, governance and continuous improvement of complex projects. You will also demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, developing trusted partnerships across government, industry and delivery partners. Your ability to undertake research, analyse data and contribute to policy and program development will support evidence-based decision-making and successful program outcomes.
