What you will be doing
At Suncare, you’ll join a supportive People & Culture team where you’ll have the autonomy to bring ideas to life and make a genuine impact. As a trusted Business Partner WHS and RTW, you will work closely with our business leaders and provide strategic and operational WHS and RTW support. You will:
- Provide practical and trusted advice on physical and psychological risk management across a complex, multi-site environment which includes community and customer homes.
- Lead and manage end-to-end incident, hazard, injury management and return-to-work processes
- Build capability through coaching, training, and supporting leaders on WHS and RTW matters
- Maintain accurate records, including claims management and reporting requirements
- Support WHS and RTW audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and ISO standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including WorkCover and regulatory bodies.
- Analyse WHS data, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance WHS systems and processes
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, aged care requirements and organisational standards
- Implement WHS & RTW policies, relevant processes and procedures to align with legal, ethical and regulatory standards.
You will Thrive in this role if
You are a collaborative and solutions-focused WHS professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to influence positive safety outcomes. You bring a balance of technical expertise, commercial thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels. You will also:
- Hold a Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, or related field.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in WHS and RTW field.
- Have a strong working knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld) and relevant Codes of Practice.
- Have experience applying best-practice WHS frameworks, including risk management and the Hierarchy of Controls, ideally within aged care or a similar complex environment.
- Possess strong analytical skills with experience in WHS metrics, reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Are highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Hold or willing to obtain all required compliance checks
