Full-Time Carpenter — Dwellix Pty Ltd
Dwellix is a Melbourne-based residential construction company specialising in granny flats, second dwellings, renovations, extensions, new builds, and tiny/modular homes. We build fixed-price, fixed-scope projects for residential investors and homeowners across Melbourne metro, and we're expanding into NDIS/SDA accommodation as a growing part of our build program. We're not just another small building outfit — we're building Dwellix into one of the most recognised residential construction brands in Australia, with real structure, real systems, and a real career path for the right people.
The Role
We're hiring a full-time, ongoing Carpenter to join our on-site team across current and upcoming projects in Melbourne metro and surrounding project sites.
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Competitive salary + 12% superannuation on top
- Fuel and vehicle running costs covered by the business (servicing, tyres, general wear-and-tear on your work vehicle)
- Workwear and PPE supplied
- Coverage under the Building & Construction General On-Site Award, with your salary structured so you're better off overall than standard award rates
What You'll Be Doing
- Carpentry and associated construction duties across residential builds — granny flats, renovations, extensions, and new dwellings
- Working to a high standard of quality and finish, in line with Dwellix's build process and site expectations
- Complying with site safety procedures and reporting on progress to your site lead
Career Progression
This isn't a dead-end trade job. As Dwellix scales, we need people who can grow into leadership. High performers have a genuine pathway into:
- Site Supervisor — running your own sites, managing subcontractors and quality control
- Builder sign-off — supporting your registration pathway to become a licensed builder within the business
We back people who want more than just a wage — if you want to build a career, not just swing a hammer, this is the place to do it.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified carpenter (trade certificate or equivalent experience)
- Reliable, professional, and takes pride in quality work
- Own basic hand tools
- Valid driver's licence
- Comfortable working across multiple sites in Melbourne metro
