Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of creatives? At Lucy Sparkles, we believe that the performing arts are essential for building confidence, collaboration, and self-expression. We are seeking an energetic, creative, and dedicated Music & Drama Teacher to join our vibrant team.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to shape a dynamic performing arts curriculum, bringing stories and music to life for our fantastic students.
What You’ll Do
- You will lead our popular public and ELC music and movement sessions, guiding children (ages 0-6) through a structured, fun-filled curriculum.
- Engage & Inspire: Lead singing, action songs, and drama games with high energy.
- Create Magic: Use props, bubbles, and instruments to keep little ones (and parents!) captivated.
- Build Community: Foster a nurturing environment where every child feels seen and supported.
- Represent the Brand: Be the face of Lucy Sparkles, including setting up your space and chatting with our wonderful families.
What We’re Looking For
- The Right Experience: A degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, or Education (Teaching certification preferred but highly valued depending on experience).
- Dual Passion: Strong foundational skills in both music (vocal, instrumental, or theory) and theater/drama (acting, stagecraft, or directing).
- Classroom Magic: Exceptional classroom management skills built on empathy, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.
- Organised Creatives: Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage rehearsals, logistics, and parent communication.
Who You Are (The "Sparkle" Factor)
- Musically Minded: You have a great singing voice and aren't afraid to use it! (Ability to play an instrument like ukulele or guitar is a huge plus).
- Natural Performer: You’re comfortable "on stage" in front of kids and adults alike.
- Reliable & Organized: You show up early, prepared, and ready to go.
- Child-Centric: You genuinely love working with toddlers and preschoolers.
Requirements
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
- Prior experience in music, drama, or early childhood education.
- Reliable transport to get to class locations.
- Availability for weekday mornings
