In this role, you'll:
Reporting to the Director Internal Audit, you will be an integral part of the Internal Audit team and provide strategic and expert advice for a client portfolio within Transport, working with the Director to deliver a comprehensive and effective internal audit program of independent assurance.
You’ll be pivotal in developing, agreeing and delivering risk-based internal audit plans ensuring alignment with current and future strategic goals and enterprise risks of various Transport agencies.
Being part of a strong leadership cohort, you’ll lead and develop a high performing, expert Internal Audit team that understands the business and its commercial drivers, working effectively with external service providers to ensure a collaborative, flexible and agile ‘one team’ approach to delivering the audit program.
This permanent position is located in our Elizabeth Street, Sydney CBD office. The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance and approved remote working.

About you
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant experience, you’ll have demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and improving audit and assurance initiatives within large complex organisations (Infrastructure / Transport / Utilities / Public Sector) with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia or equivalent is essential.
You’ll have experience developing and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships to meet stakeholders’ expectations and are comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivery on tight deadlines is critical.
You’re a self-starter, know how to build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively to drive outcomes.
