The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef & Cake Decorator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical baking expertise with artistic flair and enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to a high standard
- Design and decorate custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and special events
- Work with fondant, buttercream, and other decorating techniques
- Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace in line with food safety standards
- Assist with menu development and seasonal creations
- Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Cake Decorator
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Experience with custom cake design and decoration
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Relevant qualifications (Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent) preferred
