The opportunity
Join QBE's Global Privacy Team as a Senior Privacy Lead role, helping shape and deliver QBE's global privacy, responsible AI and data use strategy. This is a highly visible opportunity to influence how privacy, ethics and governance are embedded across a complex global organisation while enabling innovation and building trust.

Your new role
As a key member of the Global Privacy Centre of Excellence, you will drive privacy strategy, governance and risk management across the QBE Group. Working closely with privacy, technology, cyber, data, AI, legal and risk teams, you will provide expert guidance, embed responsible AI and privacy-by-design principles, and help elevate privacy maturity across the organisation.
Drive the delivery of QBE's global privacy strategy, roadmap and priorities.
Provide oversight of privacy, responsible AI and data ethics governance across the Group.
Partner with technology, data, AI and business teams to identify and manage privacy and regulatory risks.
Develop practical frameworks, guidance and governance controls that enable safe and compliant innovation.
Lead privacy reporting, metrics and insights for senior leaders and the Chief Privacy Officer.
Represent Privacy at forums, councils and committees while strengthening collaboration across global teams.
About you
You are an experienced privacy leader with deep expertise in privacy governance, risk management and responsible AI within complex organisations. You combine strategic thinking with practical execution, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and translate complex requirements into pragmatic, business-focused solutions. Passionate about enabling innovation, you balance strong governance with customer and business outcomes.
Key requirements
Extensive experience in privacy leadership, governance and risk management within complex organisations.
Strong knowledge of global privacy regulations, emerging trends and regulatory developments.
Expertise in responsible AI, data ethics, data governance and AI-enabled decision-making.
Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across technology, data, legal, risk and compliance functions.
Demonstrated success in developing strategy, driving organisational uplift and embedding best practice at scale.
Experience leading teams and fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
