Your duties and responsibilities as an Accountant
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, sole traders and partnerships and handle individual tax returns with comprehensive preparation
- Prepare full set of accounts including Profit & Loss Statement and Balance sheet with depreciation tables
- Prepare comparative cost analysis, cost allocation and cost vs budget analysis reports
- Analyse, interpret and review financial accounting records for year-end adjustments including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements
- Produce rental property evaluations for taxation purposes including the rate of deduction for capital works and other depreciating assets
- Prepare Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements in compliance with ATO statutory deadlines
- Implement MYOB and Xero software for clients
- Analyse, interpret and review financial accounting records for year-end adjustments and accuracy checks
- Preparing capital gain tax schedule for shares/ cryptocurrencies or any other capital gain tax events
- Preparing SMSFs returns including investment rental property, capital gain tax schedule, share investments and others
Skills and Required Experience
You must have:
- At least Bachelor of accounting or similar (CA or CPA qualified)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting industry
- Solid knowledge of accounting procedures
- Excellent communication skills to work with clients
- Experience in accounting software (Xero, Myob, Quckbooks)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
