The Ideal Candidate:
Displays a keen interest in in conservation, protected area management, and delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
Demonstrates proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team in a dynamic operational environment.
Has experience balancing conservation priorities with the management of high visitation parks and recreation opportunities.
Builds and maintains productive relationships with staff, Traditional Owners, community groups, tourism operators and other stakeholders.
Possesses strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in managing competing priorities and operational risks.
Is adaptable, resilient and committed to fostering a positive team culture while delivering outstanding outcomes for Queensland's parks and visitors.
Ability to support and share skills with a diverse group of people
