Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controllers and Traffic Management Implementers to join our growing workforce. Successful candidates will be deployed to client sites to assist with traffic control operations, implement approved Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), and ensure the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and workers around work zones.
This role requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, professionalism, and compliance with relevant traffic management regulations and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Traffic Controller Duties
- Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic using Stop/Slow bats and approved traffic control devices.
- Ensure safe traffic flow through work zones and roadworks.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site personnel.
- Monitor traffic conditions and report hazards or incidents immediately.
- Maintain compliance with approved Traffic Guidance Schemes and site-specific requirements.
- Conduct pre-start safety checks and participate in toolbox meetings.
- Deliver professional customer service when interacting with the public.
Traffic Management Implementer Duties
- Set up, maintain, modify, and remove traffic control devices in accordance with approved Traffic Guidance Schemes.
- Install signs, barriers, cones, bollards, and other traffic management equipment.
- Inspect traffic management layouts to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Assist in planning and coordinating traffic control operations.
- Conduct site risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Complete required documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
Traffic Controller
- Current Traffic Controller accreditation/certification.
- Valid Driver Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Traffic Management Implementer
- Current Traffic Management Implementer accreditation/certification.
- Valid Driver Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Experience implementing Traffic Guidance Schemes.
- Ability to interpret traffic management plans and site requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate.
- Traffic Management Designer qualification.
- HR, MR, or Heavy Vehicle Licence.
- Civil construction experience.
- Utility or infrastructure project experience.
- Working at Heights qualification.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence.
