400 Gradi Adelaide is looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team.
Winter is wrapping up, the warmer months are arriving and we’re preparing for one of the most exciting times of the year in hospitality.
As we head into the busy spring and summer season, we’re looking for experienced pizza professionals who want to become part of the 400 Gradi team for the long term.
This is an opportunity for someone who already understands professional pizza making and is confident working with wood-fired ovens, hand-stretched dough and Neapolitan-style pizza in a busy restaurant environment.
Required
- Previous professional pizza-making experience
- Experience operating a wood-fired pizza oven
- Confidence stretching and shaping pizza dough by hand
- Understanding of Neapolitan-style pizza preparation and cooking
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy restaurant services
- Strong organisation and workstation management
- Reliable and professional approach
- Strong Friday and Saturday availability
- Flexibility across a restaurant roster
- Genuine interest in long-term employment with the team
Salary
Part-Time: $27.08 – $29.45 per hour + superannuation + applicable penalty rates
Casual: $33.85 – $36.81 per hour + superannuation + applicable penalty rates
Restaurant Industry Award – Levels 2–4, depending on qualifications, demonstrated experience and duties performed.
Part-Time and Casual opportunities available.
Casual shifts are offered according to availability and operational requirements.

What you’ll do
- Stretch, top and cook Neapolitan-style pizzas
- Operate and manage a wood-fired pizza oven during service
- Prepare pizza toppings and mise en place
- Monitor oven temperature, timing and cooking consistency
- Maintain quality, presentation and portioning throughout service
- Keep the pizza section clean, organised and ready for service
- Work closely with the wider BOH team during busy periods
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Take ownership of your section and contribute to a strong kitchen culture
What you’ll bring
- You’ll be someone who already understands that good pizza is about much more than toppings.
- You’ll have an appreciation for dough, temperature, timing and consistency and be comfortable working in a restaurant environment where quality matters.
- With the warmer and busier months ahead, we’re looking for someone who wants more than a short seasonal job and can see themselves becoming a reliable, long-term member of the team.
