Leading Hand – Residential Construction (Sydney)
Established Sydney building company specialising in full home renovations, second storey additions and dual occupancy projects. We’re looking for an experienced Leading Hand to run day-to-day site operations, with a genuine pathway to obtaining your building licence.
The role:
- Run the site day-to-day and keep the job moving to program
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across all trades
- Set out, quality control and problem solving on site
- Hands-on carpentry/general building work as required
- Liaise directly with the Director on progress, materials and variations
- Maintain a clean, safe and compliant site (WHS)
What we need:
- Trade qualified (carpentry preferred) with solid residential renovation experience
- Proven experience leading a site or crew
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and finishes
- White Card, own tools and reliable transport
- Driver’s licence essential
- Good communicator — comfortable dealing with subbies, suppliers and clients
