The Role
As the Librarian Information Technology, you will play a key role in supporting the digital services that connect our community with information, resources, and lifelong learning.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Library Information Technology, you will manage the Library Management System, self-service technologies and digital resources that support service delivery across our five library branches. Working closely with Council teams, vendors and colleagues, you will help maintain and improve library systems, deliver technology programs, support staff and customers, and use data insights to inform service improvements.
Your work will help ensure our library services remain accessible, reliable and responsive to the evolving needs of our community.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of library systems, websites, digital services and self-service technologies.
- Deliver training, support and resources that build capacity of staff and customers in using library technology and digital services.
- Monitor, analyse and report on library data and performance metrics.
- Identify and support the implementation of emerging technologies.
- Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with vendors to maintain reliable digital services.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Support staff and customers to access and use library resources, collections and online services.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Qualifications in Library and Information Studies (or an equivalent field) or be working towards obtaining them.
- A current Working with Children Check.
- Experience managing library systems, digital platforms, content management systems, and self-service technologies.
- Strong technical skills in system administration, reporting, troubleshooting, and data management.
- An understanding of current and emerging trends in library technology and digital resources.
- Well-developed communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other technologies that support contemporary library services.

What We Offer
- Permanent full time – 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $87,352.30 to $101,210.82 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation
