Support Workers – Male & Female
Location: Canberra, ACT
Employment Type: Casual, with the option to transition to Part-Time or Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $42–$45 per hour plus applicable casual loading
We are seeking experienced male and female Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants with high and complex support needs.
About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and confident Support Workers who have experience working with participants with high support needs and challenging or complex behaviours.
The successful candidates will provide safe, respectful, and person-centred support while helping participants maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience supporting people with high needs and complex behaviours
- Experience working with challenging behaviours
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support
- Calm, patient, and confident when managing complex situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Current relevant checks and certifications as required
- Confidence driving a modified van will be highly advantageous
