A Snapshot of Your Day
This is a temporary, two-year position designed to support the Grid Solutions team with onsite works in Australia.
The primary business driver is the need for a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Advisor to ensure compliance and safety management for the duration of a specific project.
To address this requirement, the role is structured around two core areas:
- Onsite EHS Program Implementation & Compliance, which covers the hands-on management of safety systems and regulatory adherence on the project site, and
- Project Safety Integration & Reporting, which focuses on embedding EHS principles within the project lifecycle and communicating with stakeholders.
Given the focus on expert-level EHS oversight in a complex project setting, the ideal candidate will be a Specialist Professional with extensive experience in Australian WHS legislation. They will possess proven skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and influencing a strong safety culture within project teams.
How You’ll Make an Impact

- Implement and maintain the corporate EHS management system and procedures across all project site activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation and project requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and develop and track corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future risks.
- Develop and deliver EHS-related training, inductions, and toolbox talks to all site personnel, including employees and subcontractors.
40% Project Safety Integration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with project management to integrate EHS planning, risk mitigation, and performance goals into all project phases.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit all required EHS documentation, including safety management plans, risk registers, and performance reports.
- Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for the project, liaising with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams on all safety-related matters.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on EHS performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement to project leadership.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
