About the Role
As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in maintaining the hotel’s facilities and guest areas to the highest standards. From repairing furniture and fixtures to supporting general maintenance operations across the property, no two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry maintenance and repairs, including furniture, fixtures, fire doors, door locks, door closers, and other building components.

Perform gyprock, plastering, sanding, painting, and minor fitting and plumbing works that do not require a special licence.

Assist with general day-to-day maintenance activities across the hotel.

Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with scheduled maintenance programs.

Assist other tradespeople and Engineering team members as required.

Clean and maintain ventilation equipment, including air conditioning coils, filters, ducting, and air handling units when necessary.

Assist with servicing grease traps, interceptors, holding tanks, and sewage systems as required.

Prepare daily work reports, recording labour hours and materials used.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop and ensure all Fire Life Safety (FLS) standards are met.

Ensure the security, proper use, and accountability of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Support the Engineering Department with additional duties as required.
What We're Looking For

Trade qualifications in Carpentry or relevant practical experience.

Strong maintenance and repair skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship.

Previous experience in hotels, commercial buildings, or facilities maintenance is highly regarded.
