The Role
Ideally as an experienced school officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school. In this role, you will ideally support a broad range of administrative functions including financial processes, maintaining school databases and records, assisting with enrolments, preparing materials and reports, coordinating resources, and providing friendly, professional support to staff, students and families. You will ideally work closely with the Manager Corporate Services to support school financial processes, including assisting with budgeting, purchasing, and financial record-keeping, ensuring compliance with Departmental requirements. You should also collaborate with the wider administration team to help ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively.
Suitable applicants should have previous school-based experience and will display a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices, along with excellent communication and clerical skills. You will ideally be a supportive and reliable team member with sound organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing roles and responsibilities as the needs of the school evolve.
You should model high-quality customer and administrative service, using strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the administration team, school support staff, teaching staff and the wider school community. You will also ideally assist with student-related processes, including supporting enrolment procedures and responding to student enquiries. Responsibilities may include managing student attendance processes, undertaking reception duties, welcoming visitors, answering telephone calls, responding to routine inquiries and requests for information, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date school databases and management information systems. Experience with Compass, Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and enrolment processes would be highly desirable.
