Role Description This is an on-site role for a Technical Project Manager – Transmission and IP-Networks, based in Sydney, NSW. The role involves managing end-to-end transmission and IP network projects, including planning, scoping, resource coordination, and tracking milestones to ensure on-time delivery. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and operations teams, refining technical requirements, overseeing solution design, and ensuring network implementations meet performance and reliability standards. The Technical Project Manager will monitor project risks and issues, drive problem resolution, prepare progress reports, and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders in TCTS. The role also includes optimizing project processes, aligning deliverables with customer expectations and TCTS quality frameworks, and supporting continuous improvement across transmission and IP network programs.
Qualifications
Strong Project Management and Program Management skills to plan, execute, and govern multiple transmission and IP network initiatives.
Demonstrated Team Leadership and Communication abilities to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage effectively with stakeholders and customers.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret network performance data, assess project risks, and support data-driven decision-making.
Experience with transmission and IP network technologies, architectures, and protocols (e.g., SDH/SONET, DWDM, MPLS, IP routing, VPNs).
Proven background in telecom or network services environments, preferably with carrier-grade networks and large-scale deployments in Australian Telco Environment
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK) and proficiency in standard office and collaboration software.
Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment, maintain documentation to high standards, and adhere to TCTS quality and compliance frameworks
