The opportunity
We have a rare opportunity to join the Credit & Surety team as a Senior Debt Recover Specialist. Reporting to the Manager Settlements and Recoveries within the Trade Credit Collections business, you will efficiently recover outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This includes managing legal and enforcement actions in compliance with regulations and supporting the Manager in operational and strategic tasks.

Your new role
As a Senior Debt Recover Specialist your key responsibilities will include:

Develop appropriate collection strategies to recover monies efficiently and commercially
-
Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals

Deliver customer-focused solutions to achieve the best outcomes for policyholders

Make commercial recommendations to achieve financial goals
-
Review files to identify opportunities for further recoveries and improve financial outcomes

Achieve assigned Recovery Rate KPIs
-
Provide ongoing training and support to the Credit & Surety Teams
-
Assist with legal aspects of the recovery process to maximise returns

Undertaking an assessment of a customer’s request for financial hardship to allow customers to overcome their financial difficulty
About you
To be successful as a Senior Debt Recovery Specialist you will have a background in collections and a strong working knowledge of debt collection legal procedures and hardship assistance guidelines. You will also have:

Strong working knowledge of recovery profile
-
Be a team player, with the desire to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment
-
Ability to work to deadlines and timeframes, with a focus on attention to detail
-
Financial Services experience would be a benefit, but not essential
-
Debtrak system experience would be a significant advantage, but not essential
