AUTOMOTIVE MOTOR MECHANIC; PRESTON VIC 3072 & MADDINGLEY VIC 3340
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop. The role includes workshop-based duties, mobile mechanical repairs and on-site vehicle inspections.
Key responsibilities
- Perform mobile mechanical repairs and roadside mechanical assistance
- Attend customer, business and fleet locations to inspect and repair vehicles
- Conduct comprehensive workshop and on-site vehicle inspections
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults
- Carry out logbook servicing and general vehicle maintenance
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, clutches and driveline components
- Inspect, repair and replace brakes, suspension and steering components
- Perform cooling-system repairs, including radiators, water pumps and thermostats
- Repair engine oil, coolant and transmission-fluid leaks
- Replace timing belts, drive belts, alternators and starter motors
About you
- Relevant automotive mechanical qualification
- Previous experience as a motor mechanic
- Experience performing mobile mechanical repairs and vehicle inspections
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently at mobile job sites
- Good knowledge of petrol and diesel vehicles
- Experience using automotive scan tools and workshop equipment
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Current Australian driver licence
Pay: $79,423.00 – $90,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Preston VIC
