Join our Clinical Governance team
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Patient Safety and Quality Data Coordinator to join the Clinical Governance team within Hunter New England Local Health District.
Clinical Governance consists of various teams of dedicated and dynamic individuals who work collaboratively with each other, with clinicians/teams, and with management across the district with a primary focus on quality, patient safety, patient experience, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement. The Patient Safety & Quality Data Coordinator will specifically work under the Quality Systems Team Portfolio as part of an energetic and supportive team.
A key focus of the Patient Safety & Quality Data Coordinator role will be develop and maintain patient safety and quality data indicators within the SDPR, ensuring data integrity, standardisation, and alignment with safety and quality reporting requirements. This will include developing and implementing data visualization solutions in SDPR and Power BI, helping to make complex safety and quality information more accessible and meaningful for clinical teams and decision makers.
You will work with the clinical governance team and other key stakeholders across the District to support reporting, monitoring, quality improvement activity and system development to strengthen patient safety outcomes.
We are looking for someone who is confident working with safety and quality related data but also understands how that data applies in a complex healthcare environment. You will be able to translate technical information into practical insights that support clinicians, managers and teams to make informed decisions.
You will be supported in the role by your Line Manager (Manager Quality Systems), the Executive Director of Clinical Governance and your colleagues within the Quality Systems Team.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful District-wide improvement work, support the use of contemporary data systems and help improve the visibility of patient safety and quality performance across HNE Health.
Eligible to drive in NSW and capacity to undertake travel within Hunter New England Local Health District.
To implement systems in HNELHD to support NSW Health, Clinical Excellence Commission, eHealth and Australian Commission on Health Care and Safety programs including the Quality Improvement Data System (QIDS), Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR), Hospital Acquired Complications and HealthPathways.
