About No Nits
No Nits is Sydney’s trusted mobile head lice treatment service, operating since 2016. We come to our clients’ homes, treat their families using our proven strand-by-strand technique, and leave them with a clear plan for what to do next. We’ve treated thousands of Sydney families across the Northern Beaches, North Shore, and Eastern Suburbs and we’re growing.
We are a small, professional team who take quality seriously. Every client interaction matters, and the people we hire reflect that.
About the role
As a Nit Specialist with No Nits, you’ll be the person our clients have been looking for. You’ll visit families in their own homes, perform thorough head lice treatments using our specialist technique, and make sure every client leaves feeling informed and relieved rather than stressed.
This is a mobile, client-facing role. You’ll work independently across your designated area, managing your own schedule within agreed availability windows. No two days are exactly the same, and the work is genuinely satisfying — you’re solving a real problem for real families who are very glad you showed up.
What you’ll be doing
- Travelling to client homes within your designated area to perform head lice treatment appointments.
- Performing our strand-by-strand combing treatment using the No Nits technique and supplied products.
- Assessing each client’s hair thoroughly and treating all individuals who require it.
- Communicating clearly with clients throughout the appointment — explaining what you’ve found, what you’ve done, and what to watch for next.
- Recommending a follow-up check and providing clear guidance on prevention and home management.
- Managing your appointments through our booking system (ServiceM8) and keeping your availability up to date.
- Collecting payment at the end of each appointment via our mobile payment system should they wish to purchase product.
- Representing the No Nits brand professionally at all times — in appearance, communication, and conduct.
- Maintaining the condition of all supplied products and equipment and notifying us when supplies are running low.
What we’re looking for
No experience in hair, beauty, or health is required. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about our technique before you see a single client. What we can’t teach is the kind of person you are — and that’s what matters most here.
You’re right for this role if you are:
- Warm and genuinely good with people. You’ll be in people’s homes, often working with children who’d rather be doing anything else. A calm, friendly manner is everything.
- A total perfectionist. Our technique requires working through every single strand of hair. You notice what others miss and you don’t cut corners.
- A great conversationalist. The ability to hold a genuine, engaging conversation while doing detailed, meticulous work is a real skill. If that’s you, we want to know.
- Well presented. You’ll be representing No Nits in our clients’ homes. How you present yourself reflects on the brand.
- Emotionally intelligent. Our clients are often stressed when they call us. Reading the room, adjusting your approach, and making people feel at ease is a big part of what we do.
- Self-motivated and a hard worker. You hold yourself to the No Nits standard — showing up on time, doing the job properly, and taking genuine pride in the quality of your work. We don’t cut corners and neither do you.
Requirements
- A current, valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) — mandatory before commencing. We can help point you in the right direction if you don’t have one yet.
- Your own reliable car and a current driver’s licence.
- An Australian Business Number (ABN) — or willingness to obtain one. It’s free and takes about 10 minutes online. We’ll walk you through it.
- A smartphone to use our booking and payment system.
- A genuine commitment to the No Nits standard of care.
What we provide
- Full training in our strand-by-strand technique — including in-field supervised appointments before you go solo.
- All treatment products, conditioning treatments, professional combs, and equipment — we supply everything.
- Access to our booking platform (ServiceM8) — your appointments are organised and managed for you.
- Ongoing support from our team — you’re not out there on your own.
- A clearly defined local area — you work close to home, not all over Sydney.
- A brand behind you that families already know and trust.
The arrangement
This is an independent contractor role. You’ll be engaged on a per-client basis rather than paid an hourly rate or salary. You’ll invoice us fortnightly for appointments completed. Travel is reimbursed.
