We are looking for a warm, reliable and organised Children's Chef to join our Rothwell team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys preparing healthy, nourishing meals for children and being part of a caring and supportive environment.
Our kitchen plays an important role in our centre, helping children enjoy fresh, balanced meals each day while supporting their health, wellbeing and development.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for children, while ensuring all food allergies and special dietary requirements are carefully followed. The role also includes maintaining kitchen organisation, completing daily checklists and ensuring high food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating healthy and appealing menus for children
- Managing food ordering and kitchen supplies
- Preparing meals while catering for food allergies and special dietary needs
- Completing daily kitchen checklists and maintaining a clean, organised workspace
- Supporting a safe and caring environment for children
About You
- Knowledge or experience within the food or childcare industry
- Understanding of food allergies and special meal preparation
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
- Basic knowledge of child protection practices would be desirable
