HelloDR Blackstone is a busy, welcoming medical centre at 1/12 Hill Street, Blackstone, in the heart of Ipswich, open 7 days a week to serve patients across Booval, Blackstone, Bundamba and the wider Ipswich region. Under one roof we bring together general practice, allied health, onsite Mater Pathology and Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) services with dental, radiology and cosmetic services coming soon. We're a growing, community-focused, bulk-billing-friendly practice.
Our expert team specialises in managing acute, non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses that would typically require a visit to the Emergency Department.
The HelloDR Blackstone operates during the following hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Role
This is a genuine opportunity to practise at the top of your scope. We're looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working autonomously while collaborating closely with our GPs and allied health team. You'll independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications within your scope of practice, and deliver advanced, patient-centred care. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in improving access to high-quality healthcare and supporting better health outcomes for our growing community.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Order and interpret pathology and imaging, and prescribe within your scope
- Lead chronic disease management for patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other ongoing conditions
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses and allied health for complex or shared care
- Contribute to clinical quality and continuous improvement across the practice
About You
- Current AHPRA endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- Postgraduate qualification in Nurse Practitioner studies
- Strong autonomous clinical decision-making and confidence working independently
- Excellent communication skills — patients trust you fast, and it shows
