Motel Mezza is a vibrant hospitality venue on the Central Coast, part of the Meraki Group portfolio. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional food and beverage offering, and strong community connection, Motel Mezza is a destination for locals and visitors alike.
At Meraki Group we are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, developing our people, and building venues that the Central Coast is proud of.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Venue Manager to take the reins at Motel Mezza. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the venue, driving revenue, leading a passionate team, and delivering a consistently outstanding guest experience.
Reporting directly to the CEO/COO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the venue's culture, commercial performance, and operational standards. You will be empowered to make decisions, solve problems, and drive growth with the full support of the Meraki Group leadership team behind you.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service
- Own the floor: be present, visible, and leading by example during service
- Ensure every shift runs to standard from open to close, with no detail left to chance
- Hold the team accountable to service standards and step in where needed
- Manage compliance across RSA, food safety, and WHS (no shortcuts)
- Handle guest feedback in the moment, turning problems into loyalty
Team Leadership & Culture
- Set the tone: the culture of this venue starts with you
- Run pre-shift briefings that actually prepare and energise the team
- Coach in real time, not just at review time
- Build a roster that works for the business and respects the team
- Identify your next leaders and develop them intentionally
Financial & Commercial Performance
- Know your numbers: labour, COGS, revenue, and act on them daily
- Spot the gaps between budget and actual, and have a plan to close them
- Reduce waste, manage stock tightly, and keep costs honest
- Bring ideas to grow revenue , not just maintain it
- Report to the CEO/COO with clarity, context, and solutions
Events & Activations
- Drive the venue's programming calendar, events should feel like a natural extension of the venue, not an afterthought
- Brief the team properly so every event is executed without drama
- Build relationships with local suppliers, entertainers, and partners that make us easier to work with
- Work with marketing to amplify what we're doing, online and in the community
If you are passionate about hospitality, thrive in a leadership role, and are ready to make your mark on one of the Central Coast's most exciting venues, we want to hear from you.
