THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Senior Customer Support Officer to take on a specialist role within our Children's Services Support Services Team! You'll manage Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and ACCS administration, accounts payable and receivable, debt management, and complex account reconciliation, including staff billing for partner schools. You'll also assist our Customer Support Officer team on any complex or escalated enquiries. This role is full-time, with 38 hours per week on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer ACCS Certificates and Determinations, including compliance documentation and case notes
- Provide specialist advice to families on CCS eligibility, subsidy calculations and billing
- Process accounts payable and receivable, invoices and financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage staff account reconciliation and billing for partner schools
- Support debt management, including payment plans and escalation of outstanding accounts
- Provide account administration and liaison support for families under Department for Child Protection guardianship
- Guide the Support Officer team on complex or non-routine enquiries
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant Qualification in children’s services, business administration, accounting or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience with Child Care Subsidy or a similar compliance scheme
- Strong working knowledge of and confident Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information
- A confident communicator, comfortable liaising with external agencies including Services Australia and the Department for Child Protection
- A reliable, organised and customer-focused approach
