About the position
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Field Trainer to join our team in the West, supporting our Open Cut Operations.
This role would suit an experienced MPU Operator looking to develop their career in the training space.
Reporting to the Training Manager, you will primarily be responsible for coordinating and delivering operational training and development, and providing face to face training support to our site based teams.
You will be primarily based in our Perth Office in Welshpool, with regular travel required to our sites across WA.
Core accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Support Regional Operations in managing their training and development requirements in line with our Training and Development framework.
- Work with sites to manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) records, identify gaps in training, recommend and implement plans for training and development of employees.
- Liaise with our HSET team to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with internal standards, regulatory obligations and contract requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working in the mining industry, particularly in MPU and blasting operations and related services
- Competent computer user with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills? with ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement and the delivery of quality outcomes
- Analytical skills to extract data, identify gaps and prepare written reports
- Current HR drivers’ licence
- Relevant Training and Assessment qualifications (TAE40116 / TEA40122)
Desirable Requirements
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS – Myosh highly regarded)
- Shotfiring Competencies – WA or equivalent
