As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to build their independence, develop daily living skills, and participate in their communities. You will be provided the opportunity to work within multiple teams and environments, which will increase your knowledge, skillset and capacity as you expand on your career within the disability sector.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients with personal care, domestic duties, and meal preparation
- Assisting with community participation, social outings, and recreational activities
- Helping clients achieve their individual goals and enhance their independence
- Documenting daily progress and reporting any concerns
- Working collaboratively with care teams and other staff
What we're looking for
- Female Support Worker with english as the first language (participant prefrence)
- Relevant qualification or experience in disability support, aged care, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care principles and the ability to tailor support to individual needs.
- Strong communication, written, verbal and understanding of the English Language, with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and independence of people with disabilities.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively, able to work autonomously.
- Current first aid certification and a valid driver's licence.
