This is a full-time, hands-on hairdressing role for a stylist with genuine specialist skill in curly and textured hair. The majority of your week is spent on the salon floor cutting, colouring and styling curls. Alongside that, you will help lift the standard of curly hairdressing more broadly: training our own team, contributing to our educational content, and working with partner salons around Australia who stock our products and want to build their curl capability.
Please include your resume, a copy of your qualifications and work referrals with your application. Applications can be submitted through this platform.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia, or be eligible for sponsorship.

- Above-award salary of $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
- Established, loyal client base that values specialist curl expertise
- Staff discount on our curly hair product range
- A varied role: salon work, education and industry engagement, not the same day twice

- Bleach, tint and colour hair: pintura, foils, highlights, toning and full colour with formulation appropriate to curly and textured hair
- Style, define and finish hair, including diffusing and blow-drying
- Advise clients on home care routines, product selection and maintenance schedules, and recommend retail products suited to their curl type
- Manage client appointments and maintain client service records
- Sterilise and maintain equipment, keep the work area clean and compliant with health and safety requirements, and assist with stock control

- Represent the salon at workshops, trade events and education days
Partner salon liaison
- Educate and support partner salons across Australia that stock our curly hair range: demonstrating technique, explaining product formulation and use, and answering technical questions
- Build and maintain relationships with those salons as the technical point of contact, including introducing new products to them
- Grow the salon sales network
- Gather feedback from partner salons and clients to inform product and training decisions
Qualification & experience
Essential
- Completion of recognised curl-specific training or certification (for example Rezo, Cado, DevaCurl or similar), or equivalent documented training
- Certificate III in Hairdressing, or an equivalent overseas qualification, or a formal trade qualification recognised in Australia
- At least five years' full-time post-qualification experience as a hairdresser
- Demonstrated experience cutting and colouring curly, wavy or coily hair, including dry cutting to the curl pattern
- Competence in colour formulation and application on textured hair (balayage, foils, toning, full colour)
- Sound working knowledge of curl science — curl typing, porosity, elasticity — and how each affects cutting, colour and product choice
