Key responsibilities include:
Planning and coordinating waste collection and disposal programs
Managing recycling and resource recovery initiatives
Monitoring compliance with environmental laws and permits
Managing waste contractors and service providers
Preparing reports, budgets, and waste audits
Supervising staff and waste facility operations
Developing strategies to reduce landfill waste and improve sustainability
Investigating incidents and ensuring workplace safety standards
Educating staff and stakeholders on waste management practices
Common requirements include:
Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of waste regulations and environmental compliance
Project coordination and contract management skills
Data analysis and reporting abilities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Pay: $7,500.00 – $8,333.00 per month
