If you're still at school and dream of a career in interior design, architecture or styling, this role could be the perfect stepping stone. You'll gain real-world experience working with lighting as the design medium while learning from experienced professionals in a premium showroom environment.
No previous lighting experience is required—we'll teach you everything you need to know.
About the Role
No two days are ever the same.
Depending on your experience, interests and strengths, you'll work across our showroom, warehouse and customer service areas while learning the art and science of lighting.
You'll help customers bring their ideas to life, assist with creating beautiful showroom displays, learn about lighting design and support the day-to-day operation of our growing business.
As your experience grows, you'll have opportunities to become involved in lighting design consultations, project work, product selection, visual merchandising, marketing and showroom management.
Responsibilities May IncludeCustomer Service
- Welcoming customers into the showroom.
- Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable lighting solutions.
- Providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable customer experiences.
- Assisting homeowners, builders, electricians, architects and interior designers.
- Preparing quotations and following up customer enquiries.
- Processing customer orders.
Lighting & Design
- Learning the principles of lighting design.
- Assisting with residential and commercial lighting selections.
- Helping curate beautiful lighting collections.
- Creating inspiring showroom displays.
- Visual merchandising and styling.
- Assisting with product selection and new range development.
Warehouse & Operations
- Receiving deliveries.
- Unpacking and checking stock.
- Stock replenishment.
- Organising and maintaining warehouse storage.
- Preparing customer orders.
- Picking and packing products.
- Stocktakes and inventory management.
- Ordering stock from suppliers.
Showroom Presentation
- Ensuring the showroom is clean, organised and beautifully presented.
- Dusting and maintaining display lighting.
- Creating an inviting showroom environment.
- Assisting with seasonal displays and promotional areas.
Marketing & Content (Desirable)
- Assisting with social media.
- Creating content for Facebook and Instagram.
- Product photography.
- Helping create marketing material.
- Assisting with website content.
(No previous experience is necessary—these skills can be taught.)
