About the opportunity
The Divisional Chief Financial Officer, Healthy Ageing, provides senior financial leadership for Mercy Health's Healthy Ageing Division. The role is accountable for financial planning, performance, financial reporting, funding optimisation, financial business partnering across Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Retirement Village operations.
Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer the role leads a team of two direct and thirteen indirect reports. The role serves as the day-to-day financial adviser to the Chief Executive Healthy Ageing and is a key member of Mercy Health's Finance Leadership Team.
Success in the role will be demonstrated through delivery of sustainable financial performance, strong funding and revenue management, high-quality financial insights, enhanced financial capability across operational leadership, and effective support of Healthy Ageing strategic priorities.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or related discipline.

Minimum 10 years' experience in senior finance leadership roles, including demonstrated experience operating as a divisional CFO or equivalent position within a large and complex organisation.

Demonstrated experience in aged care, healthcare, community services or similarly complex, highly regulated sectors.

Significant experience leading large-scale financial planning, reporting, funding, commercial and business partnering functions.

Experience presenting to Boards, Executive Committees and external stakeholders.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
