About the Role
Bakealicious by Gabriela is a premium boutique cake studio known for handcrafted cakes, exceptional quality ingredients, and outstanding customer experience.
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Cake Shop Manager / Chief of Operations to oversee the daily operations of the business, lead the team, and ensure every order is executed to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining operations, team management, customer service, and production coordination.
Operations & Order Management
- Manage and oversee all daily cake shop operations
- Fulfil and process all website and custom orders accurately
- Write and manage all orders on the production board
- Organise and prioritise daily production workflow
- Ensure all orders are correctly packed, labelled, and ready for delivery or pick-up
- Maintain strong communication with Gabriela regarding orders, supplies, and priorities
Inventory & Supplies
- Order ingredients and monitor stock levels
- Manage ordering of packaging and office supplies
- Ensure the kitchen and operations run smoothly without shortages
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, supervise, and support the team daily
- Delegate tasks effectively across baking, decorating, and packing
- Maintain a positive, professional, and high-performance team environment
Production Support
- Some baking
- ALL final Cake decorating touches - berries, chocolates, specific themes
- Prepare chocolate plaques (base and writing)
- Ensure consistency and quality across all finished products
- Oversee cake baking and presentation standards
Customer Experience
- Liaise with customers in-store and via phone
- Provide exceptional customer service aligned with the Bakealicious brand
- Assist with serving customers when required
Key Skills & Requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail (critical for order accuracy)
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities under pressure
- Leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or food production
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to support the team
- Experience with cake decorating or food production (highly regarded)
- Tech-savvy (comfortable with apps, order systems, and email)
- Must be available to work Saturdays

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 – 40.0 per week
Experience:
- Hospitality: 3 years (Preferred)
