What you’ll be doing:
This role provides high-level executive, secretariat, and strategic support to the Deputy Commissioner Field Operations to enable effective decision-making and delivery of organisational and government priorities. The role oversees business services that supports coordination, planning, and performance reporting within the directorate, working collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to enable operational excellence and strategic outcomes.
This role leads a small team providing executive support functions for the Deputy Commissioner Field Operations.
If you have experience in managing executive functions and an understanding of a volunteer based emergency service, then this role is suited to you.
The role offers great diversity in duties including the ability to support operations consistent with your skills and experience.
The ideal candidate for this position:
- Demonstrated experience across executive support functions
- Able to effectively plan and prioritise tasks to meet timeframes
- Able to provide leadership to the executive team
- Able to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level materials
- An understanding of a volunteer-based emergency service
